The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December.

Are there any APIs we can use to check system health and service availability like what is shown on the status.instructure.com page? We are hoping to have our internal system monitoring tools monitor the health and notify us when an Instructure service is unavailable.

My knowledge of APIs isn't very strong, but I believe that setting up a RSS feed still works. A while back, I wrote a blog here in the Community about it:
Canvas Status via RSS Feed - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
Even though it's not API, it might be an alternative source for you to get information in a timely manner without having to manually check the Status page.
