Access Codes

Is there a way for Canvas to add an easier way to disable access codes? During class I have an access code so students cannot work ahead. After class I take the code off. Doing this for multiple courses in Canvas daily is a pain and I often forget. That adjustment would make a great, positive difference in my life if I could set a time that the code would automatically remove itself.

Would you please provide some clarification on what you mean by access codes? Are you referencing the access codes within new quizzes?

Yes, the access codes that students input before they can begin a quiz. I have switched over to using only New Quizzes.

Thank you for clarifying. Currently, you can only disable the access code manually through the New Quizzes settings. There is no way to schedule it to be disabled, or to sync one action of disabling it in one course across multiple courses.

However, I think this would be a great thing to submit as a feature idea! Once you obtain the "Community Member" rank, you have access to submit feature ideas. You can learn more about submitting ideas here: How do I create a new idea in the Instructure Community?
