[ARCHIVED] Accidentally closing the tab with timed quiz

For a "new" quiz tool that is timed and it is to be taken only once. If student starts (countdown starts) but accidentally closes the tab/window. Can the student re-log in and continue where he/she left off (with the time still counting from the original start time)?

Hi,  @jan_slapeta  Welcome to the Canvas Community! Once students launch a quiz, the timer will count down whether or not they are on the quiz page, so if a student closes the tab without clicking Submit, the countdown continues. If you'd like to moderate the student's in-progress attempt to restore lost time to that student, the instructions in https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-26225-how-do-i-moderate-a-students-assessment-attempt-in-ne... will help with that.

Thank you! Will such accidentally closed (no yet submitted) quiz need to be moderated for attempts or will it still be 1st attempt after reopening the page?

 @jan_slapeta ‌, if the student did not click Submit (as you have described), the student would be resuming the first attempt.
