Adding DocViewer grading to essay questions in quizzes?

I am wondering if there has ever been a feature request to add the DocViewer grading functionality to the grading of essay questions in quizzes? It seems like it would have been suggested before but I am not seeing anything in the Studio.

Our instructors would like to be able to add inline grading comments and annotations when they are grading essay questions. The current tool only provides a comment box which is a little awkward to use for multi-paragraph essays.

Hi  @jwillin ‌ - There HAS, though not specifically with quizzing but with any text box entry, in general.  Surprisingly, it has not received very many votes yet, so it could probably use a bit of love and comments:  https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/11652-add-docviewer-tools-to-text-entry-box-submissions 

There IS the ability to create a file upload-type of question, which I imagine you already know, though I realize that could open a different can of worms:  How do I create a File Upload quiz question?
