The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December.

A student reached out saying she cannot join the course. The student already uses Canvas but it won't accept her password. She has done the password reset twice and it has not sent anything. Is there a reason she cannot be added to my course?

Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear that a student has been experiencing issues with reseting their password. If the student is not receiving the reset password emails, they can try opening an incognito mode window and try requesting the password reset email again. If they still do not receive it, they will want to verify they are using the correct email. If they still cannot log in, they will need to contact your school Canvas admins for help with this matter.
