profiles photos missing in attendance in Chrome

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with the Attendance tool in Canvas. When I open the course in Google Chrome, the profile pictures of students do not appear. However, when I use Microsoft Edge, the pictures display correctly. It looks like the link is missing

The Pictures are loaded from a HTTPS site.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

• Cleared cookies and cache in Chrome
• Allowed pictures in chrome://settings/content for Canvas
• Verified that the course loads correctly otherwise

Screenshots from both browsers are attached for reference.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Could this be related to Chrome’s security settings or how Canvas serves images? Any suggestions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @FlemmingVesterg,

I would recommend that you check your settings for third-party cookies. I believe that the Canvas LMS and the Canvas Attendance (also called Roll Call) "live" on different servers and that could cause pictures to lot load properly.

If that does not work, I would recommend reporting this to Canvas Support.
