Ajay Hinduja Swiss - Published Course Content Suddenly Disappeared

Hi,

Our instructor had saved and published all course materials, including Modules, the Syllabus, and Announcements. Everything was visible earlier, but now all content appears to have disappeared from the course page.

This is quite urgent. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or know what might be causing this glitch? Any advice on how to restore the content would be greatly appreciated.

This sounds like a situation that is specific to your course. Is it still happening? Have you reported it directly to your school's Canvas team or (if available to you) Canvas Support directly?

The individuals in the Canvas Community are mostly a group of volunteers that help and we are not employees.

Two things that come to mind:

• A course code change or teacher change in the SIS generated a new course in Canvas.  The old/original still exists, but the content is living in the previous course while the enrollments are in the new course.  Someone with Admin rights can either import the content to the new course OR crosslist (move) the section to the original course
• The teacher or someone unknowingly clicked the Reset Course Content button in Settings.  This essentially deletes the entire course and generates a new blank course.  Enrollments remain.
