After an outage on September 1, the Instructure Community is now fully available, including guides, release notes, forums, and groups. If some styling still looks unusual, clear your cache and cookies.

We are currently experiencing an issue where students are not receiving email notifications when a teacher posts an announcement on Canvas. As a result, students remain unaware of important updates until they manually log in to their portals. This delay is creating challenges for our teaching staff, as timely communication with students is being affected.
Could you please investigate this issue and advise a possible solution?
As far as I am aware, I have already reviewed all relevant notification settings at the admin, student, and trainer levels. All the required toggle buttons and notification preferences appear to be enabled.
@PerwashaMujeeb If you have double checked all of the settings and this is a problem across your system, you may want to reach out to Canvas Support. Is it possible that your institution's mailing system is blocking students from receiving these notifications? Are students not receiving any notifications or just specifically Announcement notifications?

I have already sent them an email to Canvas Support with this issue.
Student are not recieving only announcement notification on there institutional emails.

You may also want to look under Admin Tools > View Notifications to confirm whether notifications are being sent from Canvas to the students in question and being blocked elsewhere, or are not being sent.
Second this - it's pretty common for automated emails from LMS to get caught in spam filters. I would make sure your IT department has whitelisted things from the Canvas/Instructure domains. Also, students can update their own notification preferences, so I'd also look into that as well.

Our institution is having this issue as well. I contacted Canvas, and they said this issue was identified and has been resolved as of today. I have not yet tested to see if it is in fact resolved, but I would like to have a date range of the issue to inform my faculty.
