Apps equivalent to H5P interactives

I just ran across H5P interactive content and really like the potential for my online classes. I know there are many, many apps that already are available in Canvas. I would have to pay for the H5P service if I go with that, but are there equivalent apps in Canvas that I wouldn't have to pay for?

Great discussion topic. I will share it with the K-12‌ Group to see if anyone there has some cool ideas.

I've seen people using Learning Apps with great success within Canvas. Nice SCORM package fits right into the Gradebook too. FREE.

I guess it all depends on your purpose. A VERY simple and free tool that also embeds beautifully is AnswerGarden and good old Jigsaw Planet.

H5P is a free tool, only the integration costs and that is incredibly good value for what it offers. Do have a look at the H5P - Free Interactive Content Creation with HTML5‌ blog posts that has some good ideas and feel free to message me if you want more details about the integration with Canvas.

 @Bobby2 ‌ is spot on about Learning tools. They work on lots of different ways and their abiulity to embed into Canvas pages makes them very useful features.

There are quite a few blog posts in Canvas looking at Web2 tools. This one focuses on tools you can add to pages to make them more interactive Embedding Web 2.0 Tools‌ . Also highly recommend reading and watching some of  @dhulsey  blogs and webinars. He shares some awesome tools.

H5P.org is now stating that this site is just for "test driving" and that you'll need to go to h5p.com and purchase a subscription to create and host content permanently. They state that your creations could just disappear from H5P.org because it's not robust enough to handle all the traffic anymore.
