It looks like the Arc browser offers some very useful features. Does Canvas work well with it?

Arc is not currently a supported browser for Canvas. See https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Basics-Guide/What-are-the-browser-and-computer-requirement...
That doesn't necessarily mean that it won't work, but Instructure is not testing with Arc, so some things may behave unpredictably.
