How do I post the Assignment category/tab so that students see it in their version?

You have to navigate to your course, click "Assignments" on the left, create/assign tasks, and ensure they're published for student visibility
@Barry51250 ...
In addition to the information that @SameulNunez gave you, you might want to ensure that the "Assignments" button on your left-hand navigation menu is enabled. You can do that by checking out How do I manage Course Navigation links?. However, many schools choose to hide "Assignments" from their course navigation...instead putting those assignments in their "Modules" screen. Any assignments you add to your "Assignments" page can be added to the "Modules" page while keeping the "Assignments" page hidden from students (with the crossed-out eye icon next to it). You might want to talk with your Instructional Design team at your school to see what the recommend for best practices. Hope this helps!
