BBB Waiting room active but not checked in the settings

  One of my instructors has a conference that has been going on since before the recent BBB upgrades. He has noticed that since the upgrade, despite not having the "Waiting Room" option selected in the conference settings, students are still forced to wait for admission. 

   Do you think this is because the meeting was created before the recent upgrade or is there another option we need to look for inside the meeting?

I'm the product manager for BigBlueButton.  While I don't work at Instructure (and can't speak on their behalf), I can help you with your question.

As a first start, could you masquerade as a student in their course and try joining yourself.  Do you see the waiting room?

If so, I'd like to reach out directly and get some more information.  Once we figure it out, I'll post a summary to this thread.
