Hello,

Are students able to change or add to a calendar created by an instructor? Can faculty change or add to a calendar created by a faculty member?

Hi @michelle_spitle -

Students should not be able to change Calendar events, and only other teachers (or those with permission) should be able to change Calendar events. However, since this is a permission set by your institution, I would reach out to your local Canvas admin and ask them about the settings for each role.

There is the possibility that students can add events via Groups though.

Hi Kristin,

I am aware that students cannot change calendar events. I am curious whether I can add calendar events and have those be synced to my google calendar like the other course events?
