This is a world wide community forum to discuss issues with Canvas.  What you are describing sounds like a course/institution issue that we have no way of accessing.  I suggest you contact your instructor/Canvas admins at your institution

I'm not sure what you are asking. There is no feature via chat that I am aware of that would let you reset your password. Are you wanting to reset your Canvas password? If so, you can follow these directions:
