Canvas Analytics Hub - Custom Role

What are the risks associated with creating a custom role where the role has permissions to "only" access the Analytics Hub and then granting access to Administrators at the Provost level.

Are there Higher Education institutions that have granted such level of access and how are they managing risks associated with these privileges? Please advise.
