When I post announcements in a course, will students be alerted that there is an announcement they need to open?

Hi,  @cstankiewicz ‌, and welcome to the Canvas Community! Notification preferences are set by the user, so if your students have their notification preference for announcements set to receive notifications, they will be alerted to that announcement.
