Canvas Course Copy Error: "The Importer couldn't determine the correct answer for this question"

Good afternoon,

I worked with a faculty member today who experienced an issue during a course copy, the error message was something I hadn't seen before.

When clicking on what the error referred to: it's a Question Bank with 333 questions. I looked to see if a specific image was flagged in the list but there wasn't any indication.

We tried a few different methods including:

• Re-copying the course.
• Copying first to a BASE shell and deleting files (as it was basically at our course size limit)
• Trying to import just the Question Bank.

This post reflects my exact issue, but no one provided a solution. Your help is super appreciated in figuring out this issue. Thank you!

@JordanGarciaNAU Is this import migrating Classic Quizzes to New Quizzes? If so, I believe there are past question types that do not migrate perfectly and need to be fixed. I am trying to verify this with some colleagues.

@JordanGarciaNAU Are there "Text (No Question)" items in the originating Question Bank? If so, those could need checked.

Thank you very much for your responses, I found the issue. There was indeed a question amongst all 333 that did not have a set of answer choices. I wish within that error message it could flag the question, that would've made things a lot easier.
