Canvas Discussion Assignments

I would love to see discussion assignments be able to have 2 due dates. 1 due date for the post by the student and a 2nd due date for the responses to their classmates. This is the #1 feedback I get from students in my online sections every semester. I need 1 discussion assignment with 2 due dates. Thank you!

You are in luck, @ChristineTenori! This feature, long deemed essential by those of us who have post-and-reply assignments for discussions, will be included in the Discussions Redesign very soon. According to the blog post announcing the July switch to the redesign, that feature (they call it "checkpoints") will be available in the first quarter of 2024. You and will be among the users very happy to see that change. 🎉
