Canvas Google Drive says invalid URL

Whenever I click to open a google doc in a new window, I see this error attached. I am using Orion browser which I suspect is the issue since Edge works.

If it works on Edge but not Orion it's definitely the browser. I'm not familiar with Orion but I'd start with clearing the cache and cookies. Log out of any other Google accounts and try that next. If neither of those work, you may want to check the settings in Orion or speak with your school IT help desk.

@Mehul-J I am not familiar with Orion, but it is possible that it may have a privacy feature, specifically Query Parameter Stripping, enabled, which would prevent Google Drive/Docs links from working. You may need to make the Enhanced Tracking Protection (or whatever Orion calls it) less strict.

@VPundir, thanks for the input! I have tried with all of the "privacy features" off, in Orion's "Compatibility Mode" but still to no avail. Orion does claim to block third-party ads/trackers alongside third-party cookies, and I have done my best to turn these features up but still no dice.

I've never heard of the Orion browser.  Is there a reason you are using this browser instead of one of the more compatible browsers such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox?  (Note, I've also had success using the Edge browser on my Windows 11 laptop.)  If you go here, there's a browser check that will run on your computer.

What are the browser and computer requirements for Instructure products?

Yes, the Orion browser is much more lightweight than even Safari and it supports extensions.

Interesting.  Did you try running the built-in browser test within the link I gave you earlier to see if there are any compatibility issues that show up?  As you can see from that Guide, Orion is not listed as a supported browser.
