Canvas attendance in the gradebook

Aloha! I am a TA for a class. The teacher I TA for uses the canvas attendance feature for their classes however, in the canvas grade book under attendance, there is just a "-" for some of the students. How come they don't have an attendance percentage in their column? What does the dash mark mean on Canvas in the attendance column?

Hi @JulanaTeo there is currently a known issue concerning attendance. Please see the following link to find out more about this issue and a workaround: Attendance Tool Issue.
When you see dashes in the gradebook, it signifies that a grade has not been entered/received.
