Canvas cant save assignments

Every time I do an assignment I try to leave the assignment and save my data, but I can't. 

Every time I leave, it makes me start all over again. 

Canvas people, PLEASE MAKE IT TO WHERE I CAN LEAVE AN ASSIGNMENT AND NOT LOSE ALL MY PROGRESS.

Sorry to read that you are having difficulties with your assignment.  Have you tried using a different browser?  Have you tried updating your current browser?  Generally speaking, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are good browsers to use when navigating around Canvas.  However, I've also had good experience with the Edge browser on my Windows 11 laptop.

For how long are you leaving the assignment?   It is possible that your system logs you out after a certain time - this is partly for security reasons.   Canvas, as far as I know, does not have a way to "Save" your progress on an assignment so you can resume.     I think before starting an assignment you might want to figure out if you have enough time to complete it.    Depending on the type of assignment, another option might be to type out your work in Word or Google, and then copy and paste your text (or upload as a file, if you have that option).
