Canvas quiz logs states that I left the browser upwards of 40 times; I never left once

On my Professor's end, my Canvas quiz stated that I left upwards of 40 or so times. I never exited the Canvas tab once, I had no other tabs open (made sure to close everything and restart my laptop prior to the quiz), I didn't swipe into another screen, and I never even left my screen unattended as I was racing against the clock to finish this quiz. Obviously I am going to have to assume it was a glitch, but it seems like such an irrational glitch. If I did exit my browser that many times, given the amount of information I wrote down and the 75 minutes I had to do so, I would've never been able to finish my quiz.
I'm incredibly confused as to how this error could have come about on Canvas' end, and concerned about the implications of academic dishonesty per such a glitch.
I researched online and saw that this has happened on at least a few occasions to other students (Canvas logs capturing them leaving when they never did). I'd like to propose some possible fixes for this glitch:
1) The Honorlock browser forces all potentially disturbing tabs to close, and it records a students screen to explicitly verify when, where, and what kind of "browser exiting" or cheating went on. I think the quiz log feature should have to always be coupled with some sort of verification system, or else both parties get stuck in a he-said-she-said debate without any tangible evidence.
2) At the very least, the quiz log should also be tracking where typing starts or stops. If I was typing like a madman the entire quiz, there was no way I could've ever left the browser. A proofing system like this should, in theory, counteract any sort of glitch.
3) Some sort of flagging system on the student's end? I know this would technically discourage a cheating student from cheating, and serve against the purpose of the quiz logs. However, if I had gotten some warning from Canvas saying that they were detecting unusual behavior whilst I thought everything was going fine, I would have alerted an administrator right away so we could have taken notice of the glitch.
I'd also like to ask if there's anything I can do on my end to confirm the glitch. I'm well aware and understanding of the fact that as it is, I look guilty as can be. If I saw what those logs showed I would assume any defense was just deflection. My morale cannot handle the reasonable suspicion, so any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

AHA! Yep, that Chrome extension would've likely done it. Most Chrome extensions do trigger the quiz logs now, especially since there are so many out there that allow students to use them to assist them with exams and things like that.
That's probably the reason, but I'd still encourage you to reach out to your professor for details of what it says and how long you were out of the exam for.
