We have a role at the campus called "Mentor" who can be a current student. So, it would be great if there was a Canvas role who can only access lecture content, assignments, announcements, and discussions, but not able to see the grades. 'Observer' role is close to this, but it can still access grades.

Hi @SaumyaBandara,
If your school/institution has their own paid instance of Canvas, your local Canvas administrator(s) can create custom roles and adjust their permissions accordingly (in line with the options Canvas makes available). We have a role called "TA - No Grading" which is similar to what you need. I will also point out that if you add someone to a course with the observer role (not attaching them to a specific user to observe), they should not be able to see any grades.
Hope this helps!
