When I import a course using a Canvas Course Export Package, how do I change the dates so assignment's due dates reflect the new term dates?

Hello @BJCarl ...
If you are importing course content from one course to another within the same school Canvas environment, you don't necessarily need to first download the course export package and then import it into your new course. It's much easier, in my opinion, to just use the directions in:
How do I copy content from another Canvas course using the Course Import tool?
...where you would want to be logged into the new course (the course that doesn't have any content in it yet), and then as you are following these instructions, you'll be selecting the course where the content currently lives. This will import (copy) the content from course to course for you, and you should be able to adjust event and due dates as well.
Now, if you've you're already past that process, there's another way to edit all your assignment due dates on one screen...and that is via your "Assignments" index page. Check out this Guide:
How do I bulk update due dates and availability dates as an instructor?
Hopefully this will be of some help to you. Again, if you're working within the same school Canvas environment, it shouldn't be necessary to first export a file and then re-upload the file to a new course. Save yourself a step there and just import/copy content from one course to another. 🙂
