I received this question from our teacher tech coaches in the building. My gut was not, but then I read forums and in the community and learned "Yes"?!If I leave feedback on an assignment in Canvas, does that feedback get pushed to Skyward, or do teachers still need to go to Skyward to leave comments?I also read it slows down the process of grade passback. Is this something we can turn off, and if so, how?I don't want teachers getting frustrated from something that most do not want to occur anyway.
We are indeed seeing feedback going over to Skyward.
Whoever runs Skyward for us, years ago, make those comments not visible to families. Even before we had Canvas, so it didn't matter as much for us. But I could see others getting caught off guard.
I also want to toggle the comments-going-to-Skyward, but I want to turn them ON! The default for my district is now OFF, but I liked them on. I want parents to see the comments I was making. Detailed comments for writing I would do in the Google Doc itself that students were sharing with me. I have parents wanting to see problems with their students' assignments, and to be able to help while not having to observe Canvas AND Skyward both.
