Conersation not appearing in Canvas inbox

I have a problem regarding my Insite account e-mail on Canvas. I usually send comments and feedback to other students via Canvas in the past, and I've received the teacher's e-mails regarding Zoom meetings, announcements, and conversations. The problem started last month when I've been receiving conversations from students and teachers through my Canvas inbox, but when I try to respond back via the Canvas inbox it either doesn't seem to go through or they haven't been able to receive it on their end.

Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with your inbox. It sounds like maybe two separate parts here- one regarding your notification preferences (the emails for announcements, conversations, etc) and then the canvas inbox itself. You should double check your notification preferences and make sure you are being notified for the things you want and how often you want them.

Beyond that, your Canvas inbox  should  be functioning as intended and very  rarely ever has issues. If you are getting messages there directly, and you respond to  them directly, and hit send the other recipients will receive them in their inbox. You can check that your sent messages are going through successfully by clicking the inbox dropdown in the top left corner and changing that to sent. Sometimes, people don't check their canvas inbox as often and that may be why you are not  getting responses.
