I am looking to build a course for an advising unit on a university campus in which students engaged in an Honors Senior Project will have an advisor as their course teacher, but each student will have a different faculty mentor. Due to privacy issues related research, ethical concerns, and FERPA, we do not want Faculty Mentors to have access to all students, but we do want them to have access to their student. We need this access to grant them the ability to see course assignments and especially to grade them. Is there a way to set this up in the courses?

Hi @fullenme
The most straightforward way I can think of to do this is to create a section within the course for each advisor, with the advisor and their student (or students, of more than one) enrolled in the section and with their enrollment set to limit visibility to only people in their section.
