The visual style called Tiles in Moodle, customisable dashboard tiles for Modules and the option for sub-tiles.

Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with the ways in which canvas modules are displayed. Thank you for providing the link it was very helpful. It appears  that these users are customizing the HTML and CSS in order to  display modules differently.  Currently, there are no special features or options for a teacher or admin to make the boxes and content  within modules to display in a different format other than the one that is currently set up to. This is a default integration of Canvas and while you certainly can try to customize this on the back end, Canvas doesn't necessarily have support or an option for this as of now. However, being able to change the display layout and content for particular areas like modules is  a great idea.
