 - Assign student groups a collaborative assignment as a graded assignment (instructor feature).

I have a teacher who created a bunch of groups and then assigned each group a collaborative document. She wants this document submitted as an assignment for each group. I have a bunch of ideas in my head, but I was wondering if someone could give me an example of the easiest way to go about doing this. Neither the teacher nor the students have ever used either Collaborations OR Groups before, and I am trying to come up with the simplest way of explaining it remotely, as they are not face-to-face at this point.

I am thinking she creates a group assignment for each group and then they submit the URL of the collaborative document? Am I on the right track?
