Dashboard: Create a setting for Dashboard filtering

As an alternative to the publish/unpublish card view, having a setting to show the dashboard courses by roles would be awesome. For example: Instructors who are teachers in one course, and students in another course can have the option to view these courses based on the role.

Having a setting to distinguish the courses affiliated with these two roles would be highly beneficial for the Canvas experience. Instead of publish/unpublish, you can have Canvas courses categorized by roles: Teacher/Student/TA/Designer/Super Designer/Observer. 

This setting can be located in the 3 dot menu at the top right of the dashboard screen. You can label this setting "Role View".

That would be a good idea conversation.  Cuurrently that area of the community is being reorganized, so new idea postings are temporarily unavailable.  You can still view older ones and upvote ones you like.
