Default Times on Calendar when using Drag and Drop

Our instructors report that when they:

• Go to Calendar
• Go to Undated Assignments
• Drag and Drop an Assignment to a Due Date Square

The default time is off. Most are set to 1 or 2 in the a.m. I have checked the Default Time setting for the course and it is 11:59 p.m. BUT the default time does not change to that in the drag and drop. 

There are many assignments in the courses - I don't want to delete them all and remake them. But many of our professors are complaining that the default time is set wrong. So they use the drag and drop and then have to click to edit it. 

We explain to them there is another way to assign dates and times on the Assignment page, but for some - the drag and drop in the calendar is more their style. 

Any recommendations? I don't want to delete all the assignments out of a course and redo them.

Can you check whether the instructors' local time zone are set correctly?  How do I set a time zone in my user account? - Instructure Community - 615318  

If that doesn't automatically fix the current issue, you definitely don't have to delete all assignments to fix the times.
For an automated process across multiple courses, you can use the Canvas API to edit assignment settings.
Alternatively, there's also James' convenient spreadsheet to update assignment dates for a specific course.

If you and your professors because that this is a "bug" it would have to be reported directly to Canvas for investigation and to have it resolved.
