Discussion Forum order of replies

For my classes, my discussions are always "Post First," and I post my response (or try to) to the assignment before the students. 

In the past, the thread of replies was organized from oldest to newest. Now, it is automatically organized from newest to oldest, and students are not longer able to see my post (or if I even posted at all unless they scroll to the bottom). Can this be changed? The "Sort" button changes the order, but that's just for my view.
