Dear all, if anyone knows how to fix a setting. I teach a course which includes discussion assignments. I posted the discussion and the students should be able to respond to each other's posts but on my screen they appear to be able to do this, yet on the students' screens they cannot.
If you want students to reply to each other in an organized way, make sure you have the "disallow threaded replies" option turned off for your discussion (see How do I create a discussion as an instructor for more info). My guess is that you may have accidentally enabled that option, and that would mean students could only reply to the main discussion topic, not each individual reply.
