Download Annotated Assignments

I created a student annotation assignment. I want to download the students' work on this assignment. I have looked for the download option in the gradebook and in the assignment and it does not exists. Is this something that cannot be done in this type of assignment?

@CassieBryan There is not a way to download all submissions in a zip like there is with File Upload submissions. Students' annotations are made and saved via the Canvas DocViewer. When you open a submission in SpeedGrader, you can see the student's annotations. The download button at the top left of the DocViewer frame will generate a PDF version of the annotated document, which you can save for your records. You could do this one submission at a time.

We have figured out how to download the students annotated documentation. However, now anything that is a typed annotation does not download - it simply disappears. Is there a ways to get the typed information to show?

I have attached two pictures to show how it looks in SpeedGrader and then how it looks once it is downloaded.

My memory may be off here as it has been a while since I looked at this, but I want to say that the typed comments were download as actual comments in the PDF. They show up in a real PDF viewer like Adobe Acrobat Reader, but not in the in-browser PDF viewers.

I just did some testing and the typed text came through as both a comment and in the correct position on the screen with Adobe Acrobat Reader. When I viewed it with Chrome's PDF viewer, neither one showed up.
