I have just configured and setup my RCE for Canvas LMS. And have added the Youtube LTI and can embed public youtube videos in my pages.
My institution posts their lectures on Youtube as unlisted or private. So that only those with the URL can access the video. Is there any way to authenticate the Youtube LTI or somehow embed 'unlisted' youtube videos in my course lectures?
Thanks!

Hi @101238296924339 ...
You really don't need to use the YouTube LTI for embedding YouTube videos onto your course pages. (Honestly, I never use the YouTube LTI to embed because it puts black bars around the video, I believe, and I don't really like how that displays on the page.) Instead, harvest the embed code from the unlisted YouTube video. Then, within the Canvas RCE (Rich Content Editor), click on the "Insert" menu, and then select "Embed" from the menu. A small window will open up. Paste the code you harvested from YouTube into the "Embed Code" box, and press "Submit". This will embed your video nicely on the page without any black bars (either on the top/bottom or on the right/left).
This Guide covers alternate ways to embed videos on your page, but I much prefer the method I've outlined above.

Perfect! That's exactly the work around I needed, works great.
Thank you!
