Is it possible to export a canvas rubric to be able to print or email to a parent or student?
Solved! Go to Solution.
for the purposes of a parent share, I would suggest taking a screen shot (Command shift 4 to select on a Mac) or Alt Print Screen on a PC - or print to PDF
Additionally, I would suggest clicking the View as Student button to create this screenshot so that the parent will see what the student sees and not your version.
Finally, depending on the age of the child, it is always good for the student to be involved.. You could send directions on how to access the rubric with the student and encourage the parent and child to look at it together.
In an easier solution, I tested and if I have the rubric open in student view, and choose print and then save as PDF that will create a very readable version to distribute as well.
Hi there @StevenLewis1 ,
Welcome and thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!
You should be able to download your Rubric as a .csv file by selecting the specific rubric(s) via the rubrics tab on your course navigation, then click the blue download selected rubrics button towards the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
I hope this helps!

Hi @StevenLewis1,
I would recommend what @DrTerriC mentioned.
However, if you would still like to export, you can also refer to https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Question-Forum/Canvas-Rubrics-Export/m-p/640888 for an option.
