I am a pre-algebra instructor and really enjoy using quizzes with multiple attempts and building on last attempt features for students practicing skills. I encourage students to treat their first attempt as an actual test for me to see what they truly know and common mistakes that still happen as a reflection and discussion piece. I use the reports tab to help quickly identify questions/areas of struggle with it's metrics.
With enabling multiple attempts, I believe the report that is generated will take into account all of attempts made or just their final attempt (not super clear on that). I was hoping if there would be a way to choose which attempt is the focus for the report that is generated!

For Classic Quizzes, the student analysis report does show all attempts, in separate rows (there is a column called "attempt", to differentiate between attempts). So each row represents an attempt for a given student. You can then filter that attempt column to be "1" to get just the first attempt.
It looks like that column still exists and the same thing happens in New Quizzes, according to the last image in the guide.
