File Space

I teach American Sign Language and post a lot of PowerPoint slides with videos that consume all my file storage. I end up having to do a lot of rework due to having to delete earlier unit PowerPoints and videos and then reload them for each new semester. Any ideas on how I can keep this content in Canvas and available to students for the entire semester and have it available for future semesters? Thank you.

@SherryKinzler ...

If your school has paid for Canvas (so that your Canvas URL looks similar to SchoolName.instructure.com), you might be able to ask your school's Canvas administrator to increase the file storage space for your course.  For your videos, would you be able to upload them to YouTube and then embed them in your course?  Another option for videos would be to use Canvas Studio...which is a paid add-on from Instructure (the folks that make Canvas).  After you add the videos to your Studio library, you can embed them in your course, and it doesn't take up additional course storage.  So, there are some possible options for you.  Check with your school's Canvas admin to see if there might be some other options available to you as well.

Hope this helps!
