@melanie_fraserWelcome to the Canvas Community! It's possible that your district or school has not issued any global announcements recently. Have your colleagues told you about global announcements that they have received, but you haven't? If you have verified that, please reach out to the local eLearning department for the Broward district for additional assistance.
