Getting an error while trying to access my test

I have done ALL of my exams on the same computer with the most up to date version of lockdown browser this whole class. All of a sudden i have an error when I go to access my test that "Your browser does not meet the minimum requirements for canvas. Please visit canvas community for a complete list of supported browsers."

I have downloaded EVERY browser that is supported according to its list and NOTHING. I don't know why all of a sudden this is happening but I need help fixing this issue ASAP

Hi @SamanthaMulkins 

With the most recent update to the browser checker in Canvas (late December), the error message began showing for LockDown Browser, because LockDown Browser looks to Canvas like a slightly older version of Chrome.

You should be able to ignore this error message and proceed to the test.

Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with Lockdown Browser. If you have tried multiple browsers  - it could be your computer. Are you using a Macbook  Air or Chromebook? There are special settings the teacher needs to enable for these types of  devices.  Additionally, did you have lockdown browser downloaded before the start of the semester? If so, you should delete it completely and then re-download it to you device.

Beyond that, it can sometimes  be related to the browser version you have. Are there any updates you need  to make on your browsers? If you are still having issues  after all of this, you'll want to speak with your school IT help desk or you can also contact Lockdown Browser directly:
