Have Google Drive LTI 1.3 in Canvas, and when trying to use as a submission type students are receiving this error. I have gone through google support and all of our Google Drive sharing settings are open and allow sharing outside our domain.
This started yesterday, coincidentally when they pushed a fix for another google drive LTI issue? Anyone else having this issue?
Students open the assignment, select Google Drive (LTI 1.3) as submission type, and then see this error immediately. Both students and teachers are in the same domain as well.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Looks like the issue is now resolved, I received an update from Canvas Support, tested and it is working now
You reached out to Canvas Support today because of an issue regarding the Google Assignment LTI Tool. Our engineers have been investigating this issue and made some changes on their end, and should be working as of now. These changes were made recently, therefore could you kindly confirm if the issue still persists on your end?
We are having similar issues - our error messages are slightly different but definitely having issues. I'm getting ready to submit a ticket to support.
I submitted a ticket yesterday and received the following message from Support, "this a behaviour that affects all of our users and our engineers are currently looking into." As of yesterday, it was not listed on the Known Issues page.
We are directing teachers to change the Submission Type to Online and then submit the Google Doc as a URL after making it sharable (going old school): https://scribehow.com/viewer/Change_Assignment_Settings_for_Google_Assignment_to_Online_Submission__...
We have the same issue as well, I reached out to Canvas Support, they said is on Google side which is not.
Same issue here.
Any solution besides downloading as pdf to submit in CAnvas LTI?.
Have this issue as well, was just digging into it, so far we can't see anything that has been changed on our end. No updates to LTI.
Yes, we see this in assignments with "Online" as Submission type and using the "Google Drive (LTI 1.3)" tab on submission. That tab shows when "Homework Submission" is checked in the Google Assignments App Placement.
Was told it was investigated and resolved yesterday, and that shows on the Instructure status page under past incidents: https://status.instructure.com/ but we are still seeing it today.
Not sure if assignments using the Google Assignments (LTI 1.3) as External Tool for submission type also show the same behavior
Per canvas....
Thank you for contacting Canvas Support. It is my pleasure to assist you today.
We want to assure you that we are aware of the issue and it is currently under investigation. Our team is actively working to resolve it as quickly as possible. I will be associating this case to the submitted report.
Once an update is available, you will be notified directly via email.
We appreciate your patience during this time, If you have any further questions or need additional information, please don't hesitate to reach out.
