Grade Book Problem

I have a question about my grade book. I have columns for my exam scores and I want to add columns for extra credit. I don't want students to be penalized if they didn't do it, so I put a zero in that column. How can I make sure the total score calculation doesn't penalize the student for not completing the extra credit because canvas thinks the extra credit is part of the possible total points.

 @david-ross , greetings! As long as you leave your extra credit assignment worth 0 points, then this will not hurt students who don't do the extra credit and it won't interfere with your total points possible in the course. By making it worth zero points, it's adding zero points to the total points possible.
