Does anyone know if I can use multiple filters in the same category?

For example, under Sections:
- Pd.  5 - 10th grade
- Pd. 6 - 9th grade,
- Pd. 8 - 10th grade, 
- Pd. 10 - 9th grade

I want to be able to view just the 10th graders

Sorry @ldunckley , currently only one filter from each category can be selected. Using the new saved filter presets, could save you a little time in building out some saved filters.

You can always view our Themes and Ideas area if that is something you would like to see developed.

This is also something that I find is missing and is very time consuming. I would also like to see it developed, but the procedure to submit suggestions to Canvas developers is very complex. One must be a member first and I'm not even sure how to reach that level.

The process to "level up" here in the Community is pretty simple...there's not a lot of things you'd need to do to get to Community Member.  In fact, I bet that you are already well on your way.  Here's a quick Guide that describes what you'd need to do to "rank up" for each level:
