Hi
I want to connect the output of the simple syllabus as a column in the grades. I would like this to automatically keep track of the percentage completed for each student. Is there a way to accomplish this?
Thanks,
Dan Paxton
Hello @dpaxton ...
We also have Simple Syllabus at our college. I'm not sure I understand your question, however? Simple Syllabus has the ability to display assignments from your Canvas "Assignments" index page as a component within Simple Syllabus documents. It can display the names of the assignments, the number of points possible for the assignment, and the due dates for those assignments. Can you explain what you mean by the "output of the simple syllabus as a column in the grades"? Any additional information from you would be helpful...thanks!
Hi Chris,
I would like to track in the Canvas gradebook how far each student in the class has read of the simple syllabus. Right now I can see a readout of this output but would rather see the percentage each student has completed of the reading of the simple syllabus right in the gradebook. Do you know how this can be accomplished?
Thanks,
Dan Paxton

Hi @dpaxton ...
Thank you for providing that detail. As far as I know, there is nothing in the Canvas Gradebook that would give you this kind of detail that you are looking for. However, and you may already be doing this, I do know that at the top of your Simple Syllabus document(s), there should be a link for you to see which of your students have looked through your Simple Syllabus document(s) or not. I found this screenshot as I was searching the Googles, and this is what it looks like:
Again, you may already be familiar with this screen, but I thought I'd share with you just in case...and for others that may be reading this particular thread that are curious.
