How do I add extra time to one student's quiz

I added extra time to a student's quiz using the moderate this quiz feature and added 30 minutes but it shows up as a grade of 0 which is confusing, since the quiz isn't openb yet and no one has taken it. Did I do something wrong? Why is the grade showing up as 0?

I had to test this in one of my courses.

The zero only displays in the "Moderate this Quiz" screen, and not in the Gradebook, not even in the student view of the gradebook.

Why? No idea.
