How do I delete an old course from 3 years ago?

I taught in this district (hence the old course), left for a while, and have come back to a different position.  Would like to delete the old course that I will no longer be teaching.  How do I delete it?

You need to go into the Course Settings, which you will find on the bottom of the Course Navigation menu.  Then, on the right side of the Course Settings page, you will find the option to "Delete this Course."  Before you delete the course, you might want to consider the option of exporting it to a downloadable file and saving it it so you can have it in the future.

 @ltelschow1  Welcome to the Canvas Community! Rebecca has given you excellent guidance. Does the course you are wanting to delete contain student enrollments and activity? If it does, and if it were me, I'd check with the district with which the now-unwanted course is associated before going forward with deleting it, as deleting the course will also delete all student activity associated with the course, including grades, and many if not most schools wish to keep those records available indefinitely. (Note that the course content export package includes the course content but not student enrollments, activity, or grades.)
