[ARCHIVED] How do I find and copy my Spring course into my Fall course?

I want to copy my Spring course with all my lectures and tests into my Fall course. I no longer see my Spring course in my dashboard.

Hi  @tferguson1  Welcome to the Canvas Community!

Typically only your current courses show as Course Cards on the Dashboard.

• On the left-side global navigation menu click Courses,
• Scroll to the bottom and click Al Courses, then
• Scroll down until you find the courses from the previous terms.

LOL!  I have learned so much from you,  Stefanie Sanders, and others in this community (too many to name), so I am just trying to give back.  I also am learning more myself by doing this.

The reason you no longer see your Spring course in your Dashboard is because the term is over.  You need to click on "Courses" in the Global Navigation menu and then "All Courses" and you will find your courses from previous terms there.  

You will now see courses in which you were enrolled in previous terms under the heading "Past Enrollments."  Click on the name of the course that you want to access and then go to the course settings for that course.  After you enter the course settings, go to the right side of the page and select "Copy this Course."

Next, you will complete the information in the fields below.  It would be a good idea if you look and take note of the course information for the NEW course.  You want to make sure you have the correct information to ensure that you copy the old course into the correct new course.  I have had many teachers in the past who have copied their old courses into the wrong new courses and then they have to go back and repeat the process.  

 So make sure to complete the requested information accurately and take your time while doing so.   Once you are done, click on the button in the bottom right hand corner that says "Create Course."
