[ARCHIVED] How do I show that a module/assignment belongs to a quarter?

How do I put specific modules/assignments into a specific quarter? I have tried putting in those dates to the "available to/from" boxes but nothing seems to work.

For example, I want all modules A-C in quarter 1, modules D-f in quarter 2, etc.

Hi  @scott_stewart  Welcome to the Canvas Community!

I am still not sure I am understanding your question, but I will give it a try. I see two ways that you can accomplish this; one you can do on your own, and one that will need the intervention of your school's Canvas Admin/Support folks.

On your own: Crate an assignment groups for each term, then move the appropriate assignments into the appropriate groups.

With your Canvas Admin's help: your school could enable Grading Periods. I do not work in K12 where this feature is primarily used, but the following guides should help.

“ Create an assignment groups for each term”

THIS is what I can’t figure out – I know how to create an assignment, but how do I do it for each term?

We use the grading scheme divided into four quarters - it seems that assignments show in random quarters. How do I assign them to a specific one?
