How do i log out of my account and log back into another one?

That link tells you how to log out of a student account. But it doesn't explain why when I try to login using another account (teacher account), it automatically logs back into the previous student account. 

I have to be able to log in to my work account (teacher) and also into my son's account (the student account), but it just keeps going back into the student account without giving me a chance to login with a different username and password. 

Any further suggestions?
