Hello everyone,
I would like to ask if it is possible to integrate a Canvas instance specifically to an institution's Google Workspace for Education Plus and Microsoft 365 accounts.
At the very least, I have already tried Google Meet and MS Teams (through the RCE) but it seems that you can integrate it with ANY Google Meet / MS Teams account (including non-institutional accounts).
I would like to ask if it is possible to restrict it to just accessing a specific Google Workspace / Microsoft 365 institution subscription.
In addition, I would like to ask if this is also doable with Zoom and Webex institution accounts.
At the moment, we are authenticating our users through Google SSO.
Thank you in advance.
Hi @profx,
I can tackle a couple parts of your question...
As far as I know, you cannot integrate a specific google workspace. The google integrations all basically let users authenticate to any google account they may have. At least that's how everything we have works, and I've never seen ay information to the contrary.
For a Zoom integration, you would actually be integrating a specific Zoom institution account via LTI, so this is basically the opposite of how google treats their integrations.
Hopefully someone can chime in with info about Microsoft and Webex, as I don't have specific experience with either of those in our Canvas instance right now.
